Your BeautyπŸ‘‘. … As a young girl I was bullied, I think we all were at some point in our lives, I was flat chested, boyish and self conscious a lot of my life. I tried to conform to society’s standards, appease others to the point where I was on egg shells at work, in my relationships and life in general – I’ll tell you what though: trying to fit into someone else’s mold or caring what other people think, (or say) about you is a garbage way to live πŸ™ŠπŸ™Š …because everyone’s going to have an opinion about what you are doing, why you’re doing it and allllll the things you SHOULD be doing πŸ€”. … IMO it is MY job to sift through all the negativity, distinguish those that actually care about you (and you care about in return) and utilize the feedback as you see fit πŸ‘€. … A lot of people might misinterpret my hustle for beauty on the outside as β€˜trying’ to fit a societal mold, to me it’s not. My sport is actually very unappealing to some: I’ve been called too muscular, manly, and the most recent and laughable β€˜to lean for some guys to handle’ (really?) – I loved this and smiled. My continued quest for health and wellness could never be so superficially based – it would NEVER be sustainable to me! … Do I run outside and breath the fresh air to make others happy? Do I lift weights to fit some image of what a woman β€˜should’ look like? No. … No. No. No. I do it for multiple reasons: because it feels good, because I can be a stronger nurse at work, because I love the sport of bodybuilding and enjoy seeing my body transform, OH and because I don’t need an excuse to adventure and journey in fitness 😊😊😊. … I am my own person. On my own mission. With my own goals and dreams. … As long as you are happy, ROCK YOU – forget the noise, be kind to others and be beautiful inside AND outside to reap ALL the benefits health and fitness can offer you πŸ’žπŸ’“πŸ’•. … Photo: @dave_laus.
